A monthly service charge is payable by Standing Order and covers:
 
 
    • the maintenance and insurance of the building and grounds
    • the weekly cleaning of the apartments
    • the wages of the staff including gardener and handyman
    • a contribution to the fund for future maintenance
 
 



In many similar developments the cost of repairs, maintenance and redecoration of the building is met by calls on Owners to pay for these often substantial amounts as they arise. In the case of Sycamore Court these charges are spread over time by a contribution to the monthly Service Charge. Owners do, of course, pay for the cost of repairs and maintenance to their own apartments.

Owners are also responsible for their own utility bills, council tax, TV licence (if applicable) and household contents insurance.

The Service Charge is reviewed each year, adjusted as necessary and presented to the Owners for acceptance.
